Union Bank seems to allow customers to open 2 type of accounts online

Union Digital Saving Account (UDSA) and Savings Bank Account(SBGEN)​

what exactly is the difference between these
My intent is to open an FD linked to the savings

Mine is SBGEN, would advice you to go for SBGEN as it's their core savings account.. have opened it in 2015

You will be charged for cash deposit in UDSA where as it's free in SBGEN this is the main difference.

Mains online liya tha July 2020. Par ab unka online portal work nhi krta i think so. Branch me without name wali Rupay Platinum ki kits rehti hain... They issue instantly

I had a Vijaya Bank account in 2004 when I turned 18. I closed it in 2010 after I got could not manage it with ICICI account. I have done quite many transactions with that. I have got the statements of all banks until today except for Vijaya Bank. Incidentally, I had a Union bank of India salary account from June 2018 to January 2021.

I approached Vijaya bank when it was still a separate entity for the statement. But they refused stating that records far back from 2008 would be archived. Can I now approach Union bank to get the statement? How do I do that and who to approach?
