IDFC FIRST Bank has launched a new co-branded credit card with Air Vistara called the IDFC First Vistara Credit Card. Let's explore its features and benefits and compare it with other Vistara co-branded cards such as the SBI Vistara Prime Card.

Spend ₹12 lakh and receive 1 Premium Economy Ticket Voucher.

So, by spending ₹12 lakhs in a card anniversary year, you can obtain a total of 5 Premium Economy Ticket Vouchers.

SBI Vistara Prime Vs IDFC First Vistara Credit Card:
Now, let's compare it with the SBI Vistara Prime. I won't go into too much detail, but if you focus on the earning part, you'll find that you can earn 2 extra CV Points until you spend ₹1 lakh using the IDFC First Vistara Card. On the other hand, you'll earn only 1 CV point per Rs. 200 on utility, insurance, wallet, rent and fuel, But with the SBI Vistara Prime, you'll earn 4 CV Points per ₹200 spent on all categories, including utility bills, insurance, fuel, and wallet loads.

With the IDFC Vistara Card, you can earn 1 extra ticket voucher, but you have to spend more to achieve that. To earn 4 ticket vouchers, you need to spend ₹9 lakhs, and to earn one extra voucher, you have to spend ₹12 lakhs in total. In contrast, using the SBI Vistara Prime, you can earn 4 ticket vouchers simply by spending ₹8 lakhs, and you also receive a ₹10,000 Yatra hotel voucher.

In terms of annual fees, the IDFC First Vistara Card costs ₹4,999 + GST, while the SBI Vistara Prime card costs ₹2,999 + GST. The SBI Vistara Prime card is ₹2,000 + GST cheaper than the IDFC First Vistara Card.

So, I believe it is evident which card you should opt for. The SBI Vistara Prime has been and continues to be the best mid-range Vistara card for now.

Just called their CC department and they were not aware of the existence of Club Vistara CC. then they put me on hold for 5 minutes and said im eligible and all the rewards and benefits I will know after getting the card :p.

IDFC is rarely included in bank offers on Fk or amazon.
even if you have a select or wealth card and you apply through the portal of new applicatiioons they will upgrade it

It seems they are not offering it to existing IDFC card members like Power/Power+ cards. I tried applying but got instantly rejected. I already hold an IDFC Select card.

The case with IDFC is spending 30k every month for 3 months. With SBI, one has flexibility to spend 75k as per wishes. Also, after 450,000, no sense in using any of the cards. Also, SBI gives more points on fuel, utility, wallet, rent and insurance spends. Lounge access with SBI is unconditional.
Solid points.

I did a quick calculation and the IDFC card is a lot more rewarding with the welcome benefits alone compared to SBI.

Assuming 1 CV = ₹1 and 1 PE ticket = ₹7500

IDFC

Welcome benefits
2000 CV + floor(30000/200)*6 = 2900 CV = 9.67% returns for the first 3 months.

First yearly milestone
₹7500 + floor(150000/200)*6 = 12000 CV = 8% returns*

*Important to note: 6 CV only till 1L monthly spends, 4 CV thereafter. Also utility, fuel and wallet loads only fetch 1 CV.

SBI

Welcome benefit
3000 CV + floor(75000/200)*4 = 4500 CV = 6%

First milestone
₹7500 + floor(150000/200)*4 = 10500 CV = 7%

So other than the steadily better milestone reward rate, the deciding factor b/w the two will be if you have the spends to utilise welcome benefits to the max, and whether you prefer SBI support to IDFC's.

I don't have an experience with IDFC, can someone please share theirs? Also how are their regular bank offers?
You should consider the fee component also while calculating the welcome benefits

Hi everyone,

Is rent payment considered for milestone for this card and SBI prime both? A lot depends on that as well.

pretty surprised by idfcs joining fee and annual fee pricing given the fact that they are no where near axis and sbi in cards market share.
might be a stellar move or a shitty pricing strategy
lets wait and watch

Network provider doesn't matter much if we refer to RBI guidelines regarding card network portability. (https://www.business-standard.com/f...n-choose-your-own-network-123071000194_1.html)
Network does Matter when you spend Internationally, this card have Markup Fees of 2.99% which is Less compared to SBI or AXIS. Also Mastercard have Low Forex Rates then VISA, AMEX, Diners, JCB or anyone else. Also Occasional offer on Mastercard Variant Like Wydham Gold on Mastercard, apart from that its always good to hold all variant as Everyone Hold a Visa Card anyways.
