CIBIL enquiry removal

Axis and ICICI made personal loan enquiry on my CIBIL account without my knowledge.

Sent mail to both the customer cares.

ICICI said, they have asked all agencies to suppress that will be done in 10 days. 10 days over not yet done.

Axis is not ready to remove that enquiry.

Both the follow up period is now more than one month.

Should I complaint to RBI?

Can we remove CIBIL enquiry that is made for applying credit card and they rejected the application? Will Bank accept to remove it?

No - they will remove only if:

1. You faced tech issues during application
2. Multiple enquiries for same application

I face technical issue for applying in PNB credit card, it's not even going to details page, i believe it's PNB's problem, but will it be the issue of CIBIL enquiry by other banks too? My CIBIL is still good at above 780+.

All Banks will remove for above situations mentioned.

And this is how you remove CIBIL enquiry by escalating to RBI

1. Successfully removed 4 enquiries from PNB
2. One from HDFC - have shared snapshot on another thread

Key is - following proper escalation channel and dropping notes which is right on Bank's face.

I got an enquiry removed from Axis bank. It took about 2 weeks and they confirmed over email that it will be suppressed. Keeping a close eye on my CIBIL report as I can still find it there, been about 10-12 days since Axis agreed to suppress, let’s see.

ICICI on the other hand is taking a very long time, it’s been about 2 months, they keep asking for more and more time :/ Thinking of escalating it to RBI.
While I was fighting the case with ICICI, I opened a savings account with them online and guess what, they did a CIBIL enquiry for Personal loan, which is disgusting! Have raised the issue again, quite frustrating as I now have 14 enquires in the last 3 years out of which around 8 are in the last 3 months.

What I've seen is that even after enquiry suppression cibil score still doesn't improves if it had fallen by a few points earlier.

Same standard reply from Axis bank even after RBI compliant.

“We wish to state that, the said enquiry has been found in our record.”

I have not done any personal loan enquiry 😒

Not sure about CIBIL increas. but It is two years now, it will not impact your new loan applicatio.

Only option you have is to "escalate and follow up".

Once you do this, this will end either you quitting or getting what you want!

It is a long mail battle. So prepare yourself untill you think to yourself -

After 2-3 months of emails exchange with HDFC and multiple complaints to RBI, finally today rbi closed the complaint stating multiple enquires will be removed by 25th march. It will take lot of efforts.

How did you fight with hdfc? Did you send full cibil report? I also have 3 enquiries from hdfc even after rejection they are making enquiries. I mailed them they are asking full report.

Yes i have shared the report which was download from CIBIL, sent emails whenever i was free at work. And also complained to RBI.

in my case, i had the report from amazon/yes bank that offers free report once a month/quarter.

when icici asked me for full report, i just took a screenshot of the top part where cibil enquiry numbrr is mentioned, and redacted all other information. that was accepted.

I have also sent yes Bank report. Let's see what they reply.

I refreshed my cibil report today and found that in first week of March, I checked eligibility for any LTF Tata Neu cards on Tata Neu app and there happened Cibil enquiry. As there was no LTF offering to me, I did not resume further. Can this HDFC Cibil enquiry be removed if asked to HDFC bank?

please ask the bank. also tell me what happens . i had also checked last week in app and stopped because no ltf. so maybe next month cibil report it will be there and i might need yo remove it.
