Should I pre-close this Credit Card EMI and does HDFC Bank reinstate reward points if you pre-close it?

On 17th June, 2025, I bought an electronic appliance from Croma using my Tata Neu Infinity credit card and chose the Low-Cost EMI for 6 months to get around ₹6,000 instant discount, whose summary is as follows:
IMG_20250621_060250_783.webp

The total amount debited from my card was ₹37,613.33.

As I'm aware, HDFC provides only 1.5% NeuCoins instead of 5% on only the principal amount (even if it's a Tata brand) once the amount is converted to EMI.

On 20th June, the whole amount (₹37,613.33) was shown as a credit in the statement and converted to EMI, whose summary is as follows:
1000099980.webp

The total amount that I would have paid after 6 months would be ₹39,747.62 inclusive of GST on the interest amount.

I noticed that if I pre-close it, the whole amount to be chargeable would be as follows:
1000099941.webp

I want to know:
1. Whether I would get 5% NeuCoins (reward points) if I pre-close this EMI or not (on the amount ₹39,319.64)?
2. How does the pre-closed EMI look like in the statement? Does it mention the name of the merchant?
3. Would it be beneficial if I pre-close it now? I used the EMI option to only get the instant discount.

1. Haven’t tried with Tata Neu, so can’t say
2. It looks like OFFUS EMI,LOAN PRECL,00000
3. You’ll save on emi interest

but if you’re getting 5% cashback on principal amount also, it’s not worth taking the risk to pre-close imo

1. No
2. Debit credit etc too much times & yes the merchant name was mentioned in first transaction that you did.
3. If you can bear that pre-closing charges

If you close the emi conversion and make the full payment within 3 days inclusive of pre-closure charges + gst, pro-rata interest (will be returned) etc. received in the mail, all charges except emi conversion gst will be reversed
My order was converted to EMI today.

If I pre close it today, will be there be any other charges(like EMI processing fees) apart from the one shown on pre closure page?

I think you elaborated for cancellation of EMI, I am not sure though this works or not

From where to pay this pre closure amount?

Once you cancel the emi, you’ll get an email stating the total amount you have to pay. It includes pre-closure also which will be returned if you cancel and make payment within 3 days of emi conversion. Better to do all this asap once u see your emi convert
No I'm asking what's the payment procedure.

From which portal or website or app like paytm gpay we can pay this amount
