For credit card upgrade I had replied to their mail giving consent for upgrade, conversion of points etc. and that did it. Changing signatures is big pain. ...
I had sent the email mentioning the consent for upgrade and conversion of points, annual fees to escalation.cc and grievance.redressalcc. I had also send another physical copy of card upgrade form via post. I have again received the same email from CreditCardOps.Maintenance today (June 29) stating:
We regret to inform that we are unable to process your request for Upgradation of your existing credit card and enhancement of credit limit as signature in the application form does not match with the one maintained in our records. We request you to forward us a fresh instruction duly signed (as maintained in our records) to enable us do the needful.

Meanwhile, I had also received below email from grievance.redressalcc on June 25.
This is with reference to your recent email dated June 24, 2025 regarding your HDFC Bank credit card upgrade request.
Based on your current representation regarding your HDFC Bank Credit Card upgrade request, we have taken up for an appropriate review. We shall respond to you by July 08, 2025 and request you to bear with us in the interim period.

Should I wait till July 8 for the reply from grievance redressal? I believe the reply from CreditCardOps.Maintenance may be in response to the physical copies which I had sent via speed post.

Update: HDFC Grievance Redressal sent me an email on July 7 requesting for additional consent for
1. Your consent for card upgrade mentioning the last four digits of your current card number.
2. Credit Card variant to be upgraded.
3. Acceptance to scrutinize Credit Bureau reports such as CIBIL, Equifax etc to review eligibility as per credit policies.

I gave them the the consent over email on the same day. However they closed the request on same day and created a new request stating they will respond by July 21. I had raised the the initial upgrade request to Grievance Redressal on June 10, 2025 and now it has been a month. Is it time to escalate to PNO?

That’s how they operate.. wait for 1-2 days and then send a reminder. If they don’t respond to reminder in 1-2 days then raise to PNO
