Government Weighs Charges On UPI Payments Over Rs 3,000

What is the use of Taxes if not public benefit?

I wager the cost of per UPI transaction would be extremely miniscule.
Brain dead thinking. Govt covers cost of Note Printing, UPI would be fraction of that.

If we are talking about charging Merchants whose turnover is more than ₹ 50Cr, then it is alright. They already pay MDR to Visa- MasterCard.

@Abhishek012 your take on this?

I saw this article/news yesterday morning.

For the past 5 years, there have just been new dramas going on.

No one actually knows what the real MDR will be or who it will apply to.

Every few months, new opinions and rules are presented but nothing concrete ever comes out of it.

People are just wasting their time and energy.

That's why, only once MDR is actually imposed, then it’ll be worth talking about.
