Confusion - how to count the waiting period in meternity ?

ICICI Direct has plan called ICICI health shield 360 by ICICI Lombard.


It says a waiting period of 12 months for maternity.
How to count that?
means can start planning by maybe the 5th or 6th month and have delivery in the 2nd year(after 12 months of waiting for period ) ? or it would be 12 months + 9 months?

Has anyone already taken this plan already ? can share your review as well.

i think waiting period would be 12 months from policy issuance date
