Axis Airtel Card cashback blunder.

I recently got Axis Airtel Card and on generation of statement, I realised that any bill payments done on Airtel App, be it Airtel bills or others, is being counted under 25% category. This means that there is no way to tap into Rs 500 monthly utility bill payment benefit as of now.

Refer to the screenshot below. The only payment in this month was for my electricity bill of Rs 1595 and cashback shown is Rs 300 whereas it should have been Rs 159.5.



Fellow community members, I would request you to keep above in mind while getting this card or wait till Axis settles these reporting issues with Airtel.

Then there's something wrong @SpiesCan'tCatchMe is doing. Check again if the merchant name is showing in capital letters or not. Txns through Cred Pay should definitely get cashback.

Interestingly I got RAZ*ZOM as merchant name for Zomato and category as: FOOD PRODUCTS but I got 10% cashback for it.

Plz take a look at my statemen and tell me what went wrong or should i mail pno like every other time

I have calculated my cashback and as per me, Food products category hasn't given cashback. Departmental stores & Restaurant has given the cashback.

And this Food products category comes when we do txn directly via Swiggy app. Razorpay is creating this issue.

They don't have any such restriction on Zomato afaik as they don't sell groceries.

So the airtel recharges after 1200 doesnt count even for 1% if it is so then the cashback is correct
