Choosing the Best UPI App in 2024

I'm writing to seek your assistance in choosing the best UPI app for my needs in 2024. With the vast array of options available, making an informed decision can be overwhelming.

I'm primarily looking for an app that excels in the following aspects:

  • User Interface: A clean, intuitive, and user-friendly interface that allows for quick and effortless navigation.
  • Offers: Attractive cashback, discounts, and rewards on UPI transactions, bill payments, recharges, etc.
  • Wallet Features: Robust wallet functionality with features like expense tracking, budget management, and investment options (if available).
  • Card Facilities: Seamless integration with credit and debit cards for payments, recharges, and bill payments.
  • App Performance: Smooth and lag-free experience with appealing animations (if used tastefully).
  • Overall Experience: A positive and enjoyable experience that exceeds expectations across all features mentioned above.

To provide some context, I typically use Payzapp for UPI payments. However, I'm open to exploring new options that offer a better overall experience.
Additionally, if you could share any specific insights or tips on features, functionality, or hidden gems I may have missed, it would be incredibly helpful.

i understood now. i was adding more than 10k, for which they do charge 1.5%
Update: yesterday i was testing on friend's iphone his slice acc by adding 10k from my dc. was able to transfer out ~5k back to me (since only 5k in the first 24hrs upi)

today friend got a call from slice asking about whose card was used to add funds, friend gave me the phone to talk, the person was asking the full name, bank name of the card holder. then he was saying why are you using other's account to add funds, use own acc. then he was asking if the acc holder gave consent to the transactions, i said it's on iphone, face id is mandatory every time a transaction is done, these many security features are already there what more do you want. he said to open my own account, and not use friend's acc, i said i was just testing out features, charges etc basically exploring the features in app.

he was silent for some time. i asked if there was any restriction being placed on the account. he said investigation is ongoing & cut the call. immediately i opened the slice app to the below screenshot. i believe the funds are locked now. no solution.

Can someone tell me what's the benefit of using slice wallet compared to Kiwi or Mobikwik or AmazonPay wallets?
Mobikwik keeping thrusting pop-up traps to get you to fall into their ZIP-shit. One moment of concentration loss and you are trapped. So definitely not the UPI app for the fainthearted.
Amazon has too much clutter in the home page and app takes time to load. Plus, there is no option to customise the wallet UPI ID - its always (mobile no)@amazonpay.
Slice - Simple app for quick small UPI payments. Easy activation. Customisable UPI ID. Can be used with mobile no & handset of your choice. Gives added option of virtual card for online payment.
Kiwi - not used.

well everyone already has amazon on their phones, so if you want one less app on your phone, then amazon pay isn't that bad of an option👍
