anyone with cibil between 850-900?

i am trying to understand what factors might lead to having a cibil as near to 900 as possible.

i have not heard of anyone with such high scores (in my experience i have seen only people with a
around 810 max).


its not as if at entry level (no credit card, no loan) it is 900 and starts decreasing gradually. nor is it that it increases gradually till you retire. me, despite having many credit cards and extremely low utilization and timely payments, i am having the same score as someone with minimum credit cards, a few paid off loans which were always paid on time.

if anyone in this community has the score above 850, please share your insights on how you managed it, or how you planned it.

My CRIF score is 832.. with around a dozen cc, one Home Loan,Credit age 14 years, utilization 13.75% and on time payment 98%...

how long have you been using cc?

My dad is having 800+ too, but not 850. He is holding cc since 2+ decades. No loan taken.

She only had 1 CC 1 Yr old at the time of that score.

My TU CIBIL score increased to 804 again after a minor dip post Infinia activation. Experian 895.

MY CIBIL hovers around 840-860, 6 active CC, 1 Closed Home Loan, 1 Active Home loan, 1 closed car loan. History 12-13 yrs .

I really doubt if you can go above 800 with just credit cards without home loan or car loan

My wife is at 820. Only 2 credit cards. No enquiries ever! No loans ever.

Guys, if the credit age is more than 5 years, the effect of enquiries on the score is very negligible..
No of enquiries is overhyped especially for accounts more than 5 years old

Even for accounts older than 2 years. My score never ever goes down even after 3 to 4 new enquiries in a month and my credit age is just over 3 years. Even last year when the age was 2 years, it never went down.

It is difficult to maintain this sort of score longterm with just only CCs , unless you know what you are doing ..
