Zomato Account Disappeared. With it RBL Zomato Edition Card too!

I had a very strange experience in the last couple of weeks with Zomato. It all started with me logging in my Zomato account from another device. Instead of logging in to my existing Zomato account, Zomato created a brand new account with my mobile number. This resulted in my old Zomato account disappearing in thin air.

Zomato is unable to restore my old account. They have transferred my Gold status and my wallet balance to my new account but strangely they are unable to transfer my RBL Zomato Edition Credit Card to my new account. I can see only Zomato Wallet now even though I am logged in with my same mobile number as before.

Effectively RBL Zomato Card is rendered useless for me. While I may still be able to use it for brand specific offers, I will not be able to redeem my rewards into Zomato credits.

Wondering whether I should ask RBL to upgrade my Credit card to another variant. Zomato Edition Classic is anyways useless right now & I recently got SBI Cashback card which should take care of Zomato for me

you can try asking rbl for upgrade because with this card, you will lose the 1% zomato credits for each transaction if the card is not tagged in zomato account.

before that, try getting in touch with zomato edition team on twitter. while launching the card, they were very active and responsive. but if this is a planned effort from them, then no use in keeping the edition card. if it is ltf, then keep at least 1 card (edition or another upgraded rbl card) for rbl related offers.

even this has happened to me...i had changed the email id of zomato and then the edition card disappeared with zomato pro membership(was there when i had this problem). after following this case with zomato for more than 10 days finally one gentle lady of customer care executive made it back again...please follow this up with them only they can help.

RBL doesn't take request for upgrading the card, there ans is simple that Zomato edition black is a invite only card that can be issued on invitation to customers selected by zomato..please request them for it.
