Which Debit or Credit Card Have You Closed (or Plan to) in 2025 & Why?

Why closed salary account? I have hsbc premier based on salary but they say salary alone is not sufficient I've to maintain TRV also
That's bad. Did they change any policy now? If your net salary is more than 3L, you don't need to maintain anything else. They will give you premier salary account and premier credit card. Am I missing something?

Closed 4 this year
1. HDFC Tata Neu Plus (FYF) - because I got Infinity FYF in my Mother's name.
2. HDFC RuPay UPI (only 99 joining fee) - it was completely useless for anything anymore. Got it immediately upon release and used it pretty frequently before realizing that there were better UPI cards available.
3. Axis Flipkart (500) - was closed around Jan as I hardly use Flipkart and it was chargeable.
4. Yes Bank UPI RuPay (LTF) - never even used it, got it just because it was offered for free and I didn't have many RuPay cards back then.

I'll be closing
1. RBL IndianOil Xtra (1,500) - 💩 card because all IndianOil outlets, near me, either don't know how to use Xtrarewards or flat out refuse to get paid through it.
2. Kotak 811 #DreamDifferent (LTF) - this is the oldest card that I have, got it as a secured card long back against a 15k FD. Also the only secured card that I have. The limit is so low that I hardly even think about using it at all.
3. Axis Select (FYF) - got this only for an upgrade to Atlas if it comes well and good otherwise I'm closing it as I'm closing all paid cards under my mother's name.
4. ICICI HPCL Super Saver (500) - hardly use this. Might keep if I start using it in lieu of RBL IndianOil.

I just have way too many cards and closing the useless ones

I will be closing
1. ICICI Sapphiro dual, reason-you know why🥲
2. Rbl Indian oil Xtra , although I am able to takeout huge benefit from this card, I earned almost 12500 xtra reward points in around 7 months, will try for fee waiver if possible.
