Also, they need to provide the benefits for once before they withdraw. Else, it's a simple case of misseling the product.

If they scammed us, then scam them in return. If you have an FD of amount X, create an additional FD of ₹1000 to increase your limit by ₹900. Then, withdraw the original FD of amount X. This way, you can keep the card with just a ₹900 FD.

How does this scam them? You only end up reducing your limit, and giving up on your 'non-existent' select benefits.
