Yes, for that I opened union bank salary account even though my company has not tied up with them but they opened it. I got visa signature physical card and I created virtual Rupay select debit card. I opened it to pay the bill of hdfc cc with physical debit card. Rupay select is a bonus for me. 🙂

No charges for physical card. Customer care said if no charges shown when applying for virtual, it'll be free

To be frank, I didn't inform it to my employer to credit the salary in union bank account. I think they don't track salary credit.
