What is grocery capping? If I spend more than 2000 rupees at Dmart/Reliance it won't count give reward points? Or only gives 2000 points and won't after that?

Yes Max points for DCB Infinia is 2000 per calendar month. This means grocery shopping beyond 60000 won't fetch any reward points. Please note it is all grocery including shop whose pos machine is with grocery as MCC and online like swiggy due to instamart.

A minute correction here. It may be below ₹60K as well. For instance, if you buy gyftr vouchers for Swiggy, which gives accelerated bonus points, the 2000 point milestone will be reached sooner and any other point accrued afterward(normal or accelerated) won't be considered. ₹60K is the max amount considering normal points only.

I don't think Gyftr vouchers are categorized as Grocery spend, be it Swiggy or anything else

Yes, it is counted towards milestone benefits. Also first rent transaction is free without 1% fee. Only you won't get reward points unless you use red giraffe through Payzapp or bill pay.

So the Redgiraffe charges of 0.5% effectively is extra charge now as no RP to compensate for that. Question is if the 0.5% worth for milestone benefits

No, with RG through Payzapp, you will get reward points also as it comes under insurance.

Effective charges on red giraffe is around 0.46%. You need to do the maths for yourself.
Paying 0.46% of your rent amount VS 1k vouchers and 3.3% RPs and also getting that on interest free period and getting 1% cb while paying via HDFC debit card.

I haven't checked. I just assumed they do, because I will be using the GV on Swiggy itself, for "grocery" shopping. If the grocery points are capped at 2K per month, I assumed even the accelerated reward points are counted, since HDFC does some calculation before giving the accelerated reward points and credit them next month. There's also no mention otherwise.

But hey, if GVs are not considered, all the merrier. Then it would not matter if Swiggy is put into grocery or any other domain. Thanks for the correction

Got a mail from HDFC that Timesprime smart membership is no longer given as welcome/renewal benefits of DCB. It is anyway useless.

But this month on new PZ app it shows this under txns : "Payzapp billdesk Non BMUM". Is this something new ? Will it give Rewrad points for this non BMUM ?
