I got the physical card 2-3 days back, and Dreamfolks card has been despatched separately today. Got Bluedart AWB SMS.

No, not even a basic savings accounts is pre requisite.

Then min limit might be required on existing idfc cards for an upgrade? What is that limit?

I have also received my IDFC Wealth Physical card couple of days ago with 10 Lac limit. Dreamfolks card is on the way

i have tried twice last year, even with 500k limit i was offered the select card only

Only home verification is done.
I am an account holder at IDFC, and my office address has remained the same since I opened the account, but my home address has changed. So may be due to that only home verification is done.

Pleasant surprise by IDFC First Bank. I just spent Rs 5000/- 2 days back, and today I got the welcome gift voucher Rs 500/- by mail.
First statement not even generated.


Redeemed it as Amazon Pay Gift voucher. IDFC has a really good tech stack, that other banks need to follow.
Super smooth application process, approval, delivery, and now benefits.

(They are still showing the old card design in this photo, rewards team needs to be updated that card design is changed 😀)

Old Story so far:
This was sometime in late 2023 and early 2024.
I had been trying to get IDFC First Wealth through their website directly - but whenever I enter my details, the site was only showing FD based WOW card.
It went on for a year and then I got a call from one RM who told if I apply through him, he could get me Wealth.
I trusted him and processed the application and I got IDFC First Wealth credit card on Sept 2024. (4L limit)

But I didn't use it - Didn't came across any good places or offers where I could use it.
Out of impulsion, I closed it in November 2024 when they did the devaluation.
But afterwards I thought I could have kept it.
So I tried re-applying for it through TimePrime but through that channel, they were asking for docs.
(It depends on the channel - some places they ask for docs, some places they do not ask any income proofs)

So I left the applicaiton in between. IDFC First executives started calling me 4 times a day asking to upload income proof.
I told all of them - that I don't need the card but they still kept on calling.
I got frustrated and finally sent a PNO to delete my application immediately.
Finally the calls stopped.

Then yesterday I just casually went to IDFC FIrst website and just entered my details, and wow, it showed no docs required.

So I immediately completed the application and VKYC.

Reasons for cancelling it earlier: It was not used at all. But after cancelling I had a second thought, I could have kept it.
Reasons for applying it again: (It was there aearlier, but these are some smaller benefits)
1. Free Visa Infinite variant
2. Roadside assistance 4 times a year.
3. Flight ticket cancellation refund for any reason, up to two times a year.
4. District movie app offers.
5. Railway lounge access
6. BMS movie offer and F&B offer for Visa Infinite.
7. Interest free atm withdrawal
8. Low Forex markup 1.5%
9. IDFC First Bank specific offers in some apps.
10. Reward points do not expire.
11. Lounge access criteria is not hard. (20k in previous month)
12. Golf benefits

Like @Jatayu told, Overall a good LTF card to keep, but nothing exciting as such.

Yes it is quota based. Opens only at specific hours. Very difficult to get through.

One of my friend asked for IDFC card to avail some offer the same day card is issued, I also got the same welcome voucher, without spending a rupee. 🤣
