RBL Zomato Edition Credit Cards Devaluation- Complimentary Zomato Pro And Pro Plus Membership Discontinued

Zomato Pro and Zomato Pro Plus memberships will be phased out on February 24, 2023, and will be replaced by Zomato Gold.
You'll not get a Zomato Pro or Pro Plus membership with an RBL Zomato Edition Classic or RBL Zomato Edition Black credit card.
All existing complimentary Pro or Pro Plus memberships will expire in 30 days (February 24, 2023). As an existing Zomato Pro or Pro Plus member, you'll get a 3-month Zomato Gold membership.





I'm holding an RBL Zomato Edition Black credit card, and I got a Zomato Pro Plus membership, which was valid until July 30, 2028.


They abruptly changed the expiration date of my membership from July 30, 2028, to February 24, 2023.


And they are just offering a 3-month Zomato Gold membership.
They should have offered Zomato Gold to their existing Pro and Pro Plus members.

What do you think? Is this not unethical behaviour?

Thats the reason I closed my zomato edition classic card right after it got devalued. I knew this membership will also come to an end sooner or later.

I also have but I use rarely. Zomato is highly overpriced. Prices are 15-20 % more as compared to restaurants. Also they are fooling people by small order charges.

It is getting useless.

Yeah, I too have this card. Lifetime is okay but they didn't told whose lifetime 🤣

I have thrown away the card in last devaluation itself but now have to find and close it, probably after the 3 month Zomato Gold expiry.

Its NO more fit to be called a 'Zomato' card if it offers no benefits for its users.
Looks like they want all users to close this card as they want to close this Variant itself.

I asked the customer care for the same and one person provided me extension for my membership but he closed my ticket before even me replying to him so I opened another ticket and the other agent straight away declined

They have also changed our Zomato Pro expiry date in Zomato app to Feb 2023, which was earlier till our card expiry year. Really unethical to do that without our consent.

I have more than 10,000 in my edition wallet (not yet converted to Zomato credits), do you mean edition wallet is going to expire and I will not be able to use that unless I convert it to zomato credits?

There is no changes in Edition wallets/credits . I myself have 25k+ balance in those

use it asap, don't take risks.
if they can reduce the pro membership validity by 5 years suddenly, they can also make your points expire. what are you gonna do if it happens, run after them in courts and consumer forums?!
