PhonePe, HDFC Bank launch co-branded RuPay credit card with UPI integration

Ooh this card is competition to Chortel Axis, the devalued crippled FK Axis, their own Swiggy card and their own Millennia

But rewards seem unsustainable ESPECIALLY since they're over UPI and MDR isn't there for below ₹2K txns right? It will soon be changed to either have MOV for rewards or devalued. Won't be surprised if flat cashback becomes "up to"

All HDFC cobranded card offer flat 1% upto 500 on UPI spent. Nothing special about UPI.

Main benefit - 10% Cashback upto 1000 per month on Recharges & Bills, Travel & Stays (Flights, Bus, Trains and Hotels) and Pincode (only applicable for spends via Rupay CC on UPI).

These are big merchants. So, MDR already available. Anyway, this will be available only if done through the PhonePe app, right ? These are in-app transactions of PhonePe.

Select online platforms – Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, Uber, Swiggy, Zomato - 5% Reward Points - Capping of 500 Reward Points per month

I think applicable on both UPI and direct card otp based transaction, once again, these are big merchants. So, MDR already available.

Other card transaction - dnt know yet but i guess unlimited 1% or something, max 7500 per month (except some excluded categories).

Oh right I forgot that rule is only for small merchants. Then perhaps due to the cobranded arrangement it may give Kiwi Yes Bank some competition
