Latest working methods to pay credit card bill from debit cards

Most of you know the debit cards which are useful, but it’s difficult to keep track of which platforms to use, how to use because of devaluations/ limits.
I had written down current working methods for my personal use but thought of sharing with the community. Will appreciate any feedback. So here goes:

1) RBL signature plus dc: sbi unipay
1b) RBL Enterprise dc: sbi unipay
2) HDFC PLATINUM debit card: can be used on hdfc bill pay and sbi unipay
3)HDFC Millennia debit card: can be used to load Amazon/Mobikwik wallets for 1%. Can use hdfc bill pay or sbi unipay for 2.5%
4) indus visa signature, visa platinum and mastercard world : Use paytm and cred (Dreamplug Paytech merchant) for visa variants. Sbi unipay and Cheq(not working for most) for mastercard variant.
5) FI money ( infinity or salary variant) : pay 1.5k multiple times through cred using fi upi.
6) IDFC Debit cards: Pay cc bill using sbi unipay.
7) Axis Liberty dc : pay cc through sbi unipay for qtly voucher. Can use upi as well anywhere; no exclusions using upi. Bonus tip: Use axis gyftr portal / amazon to buy amazon gv from Liberty dc for weekend cashback.
8) Citi Priority on sbi unipay

SBI Unipay is working for most, some are reporting failures. Try with small amount first.

Update: Alternative to SBI unipay: ‘Airtel’ and ‘Sriram one’ app (but they only have bbps cc). These all give 4900 (utility) mcc.

Update 2: P B R G and thomasjackson mentioned even Dhani Pay has utility MCC (so an alternative to SBI Unipay). Non-BBPS cc can be paid. But KYC required. (havent tried myself)

Ongoing issues 1) : Some have reported idfc dc is blocked while account is active. I am also facing the issue. Have complained to pno and rbi, waiting for solution (and maybe some reimbursement ).
2) Indus dc points have not been credited after 1st week of May. So we’ll have to wait. This has happened in the past as well but we got points. Rewards point are showing up in net banking but not in mobile app for some people but still not redeemable.
3) mastercard dc not working on sbi unipay.

Idfc alwyas credit rp without miss since its inception.. for me..so stop complain them daily and asking here unless its 15 to 20 working days past.. you guys will stop those free rp.. if they find lot complain regarding.. only indus do heraferi.. but there is still no solution.. you complain they deny.. so point is complain wont help instead create more trouble.if you get ok else next.. or keep asking all day in forum ppl stop sharing or replying..

Ye to wahi baat hui maine apke ghar chori ki and kuchh maal nahi mila iski report kar do..lol

There is no list of MCC in this URL. Have requested IndusInd bank to share list of excluded MCC. Will share if I get.

Failed first time for me in the last week. Error was transaction not attempted.
Then tried again on internet explorer and did so by writing the card number and name(pasted first time), went through.
Same thing happened 3-4 days ago.

Also try changing limits and enabling all type of transaction in card security settings

This month indus didnt gave points exvept few before 5 may.. normally they post within week.. i hope they didn't fixed or mess something.. anyway they always do heraferi in points no way to track also..

And today i find strange issue withrwal limit.. i did like 4 5 ec transactions then it was failed then i changed many banks but all said same.. like upi dc also have limit?.. i understand fir same bank but if all bank dc fail in any platform then its some kind issue.. 😞 hopr it is temporary glitch

Socha story share kar du. Baat karte karte gusaa aa raha tha bas controll controll chal raha thq man me.. bcz he seems to be guy like lunch ke baad ana non pro 60 year guy type.. young log kam hi milte hain sbi me

I also got a call yesterday and she share a random website(with near axis interface but url is different) to put my card details there for limit enhacement. She even knew my card last 4 digits and delivery date. She even made sure how much limit is available in my card and if online transactions were enabled or not.

Wo toh thik h par jab maine axis customer care ko complain karri toh unhone bola ki cybercrime ko complain karu kyuki fraud abhi tak hua nhi h aur jab tak fraud hoga nhi wo complaint nhi le sakte. Maine unse pucha ki toh aap ye website tab tak chalne doge jab tak kuch 1000-2000 log scam nhi hojate. He said ki sir system me complaint ka option hi nhi h without fraud. Bda weird bank h axis. He even said ki sir card ka replacement lelo otherwise bank ki koi responsibility nhi hogi for next one month. Matlab mene hi complain kari aur ab ye mera hi matha kharre.

You may get 0.5% cashback on sbi unipay. I haven't personally verified.

I assume you have normal idfc account.

0.33% for first 50k
1.66% after 50k upto 1.60 lakhs

If you do a total transaction of 1.60 lakhs, you will get 2000 rs (8000 point)

Reward rates and capping is higher for select and wealth.

I fear they would restrict utility mcc in near months, so opening a new account or upgrading is not worth it.

It's 50k for base reward points for all variants.

Earlier it used to be 20k for normal variant. Now they have changed their terms.

RBL S+ dc worked on unipay yesterday as well.
