Incorrect Inquiry by SBM Bank

I have a credit enquiry from SBMBKINDIA, but I have never availed a loan/BNPL from SBM Bank. I raised a dispute on CIBIL, but they asked me to contact the bank, which I did, to no avail. What should I do now?

I also have an enquiry on my CIBIL for 75000 from SBM Bank for a credit although I never applied for that. I have used IndMoney in the past but never applied for waitlist, also I have not ever downloaded any app from BharatPe as well. The only SBM platform I have used so far is TripMoney(MMT). Have mailed to the nodal officer in this regard

TripMoney / HAPPAY are probably the culprit. I know of other TripMoney pre-paid card users who had the same enquiry. Worse part is TripMoney advertise zero forex markup but that is a total lie, there is a 1% markup. Compared to that Niyo Global gives true VISA rates with no markup, and it is a proper SBM Bank Savings Account where they give interest on the balance, and a Visa Signature card with no annual charges. I have always been suspicious of MMT offerings and hearing about the 1% markup and the bogus CIBIL enquiries made me decide to avoid them completely.

i also have tripmoney forex card and have 75k enquiry.

Finally after chasing around and threatening legal action, they've removed the enquiry. Thanks to Jyotiman and this amazing community!

I would've never known who to contact in getting this resolved.

Hey, I also got false enquiry by SBM bank, please tell us how you got it removed.
All I did was email them, First 2 emails were to the normal customer care team as I wasn't aware of the escalation matrix.

Then when I emailed to the nodal officer, I finally recieved a response on 17th June stating that "they were looking into it". So, a month had passed and still no reply so I forwarded the mail trail to the principal nodal officer and threatened them with legal action, as well as getting the RBI ombudsman involved.

A few days pass and I see this email, refreshed my credit score and the enquiry is indeed gone.
