How to know bank locker is vacant or all full ?

If you go to any bank be it a psu or private bank . if they sense you are not going to give them business like ULIP or large FD or life insurance , they will simply say NO LOCKER AVAILABLE SIR .

I enquired about 10-15 banks in locality . if I ask them my waiting list number , they will say “ there is no such thing sir” .

since they are showing no locker availability we can not complain to higher officer or RBI .

my query is how can we know actual number of vacant lockers in a bank . they are not bound to disclose it though .

Yes I have imperia account with HDFC since 10 year but it’s a different city . One nearest branch verbally asked me to start a ULIP so that we will get approval from HDFC to allocate you a locker . Or a 50L FD minimum .

So I decided to go through imperia banking contact team route with another HDFC branch. seeing the enquiry coming from imperia banking . The operational head call me and did not directly mention about plans and all , he simply say no locker available at this moment but refused to confirm it over email . At the end of call he say come to branch someday we will see how can you get one quickly .

That. Means he is also indirectly asking me for a ULIP or Insurance products .

Also I have tried SBI which is my home branch . The lady manger only interested what can you buy from me . Health insurance or start a SBI life Plan atleast .1 lakh per annum premium

I am searching for the "branch manager / or "cluster head" or "head head of branch banking" email ID.

On HDFC website I can only see their names but No contact email IDs . I tried getting their official email IDs through imperia banking CC but they are not sharing it and give my useless RM number . I once asked him about locker , he said No offer available on your account sir for locker , I will contact when offer comes 😋

If I find their email IDs .. After denial from their end . I will create a massive drama on X social media about this locker saga with HDFC 😄

Frankly speaking I do not have immediate requirement. I can wait . But I have to try everything to get a locker without a opportunity cost .

Pata he ke 50000 ache funds mein invest karunga toh 10 year mein it will generate more than 50% of wht thier ULIP will give .

I am still following up with HDFC through social media , lets see kya hota he ...

Direct RTI against govt org. For private banks you will need to go through RBI.

Hope to secure one in one in Axis or Canara Bank . Tried PNB and BOB but lockers not avaikbke shown for nearest branches .

Canara bank showing 20 lockers availble , will visit on Monday after applying .
What they will ask , if they ask for any kind of deposit or others , will take this matter of all these banks to RBI CMS portal .

I am fine with 3-5 years locker charge and break open charge as FD. Can go upto 50k FD . Anything above 50k . I feel unnecessary for a customer atleast . Will distrub his personal financial planning

If you pay advance rent for 5 years, may be you'll get 20% discount, than may be lien of FD is not required !!
