How many bank accounts do you have and for what purposes?

I hold following bank accounts

1. ICICI Bank (Savings) - For salary crediting and investments
2. IDFC First Bank (Savings) - for savings purposes, it gives good rate of interest.
3. DBS - Idk why I am still holding this.
4. Paytm Payments Bank - Had opened it long back, not sure why I am holding this too.
5. Fi.money - For day to day transactions as my primary savings account would get cluttered with few hundred rupees transactions.
6. Jupiter - Had opened alongside with Fi, thinking to close this.

YES, we have to declare accounts manually.

But you can check in AIS, as all banks report to ITD the interest earned in FY

In my case all my accounts (except for Paytm) showed up automatically. I think this was because all details were automatically fetched through PAN.

If it happens automatically with the ITR too now, that is a new development I'm not aware of.

In the ITR I had to enter and validate each account individually and manually!

I know such information is captured in the AIS.

Indusind for high FD returns to park any surplus i have
Axis just because i was able to get a locker with the account,

HDFC - Salary account
SBI - opened earlier for having a PS banking relationship. not using it, only min balance is maintained.
RBL - opened for the CC bill payments (signature+ debit) and using it as upi account. Getting good interest also.

Airtel - Don't know why open this account
ICICI Bank - 1st private bank account & got 1st secured & 1st unsecured credit card 😂 now closed
AXIS Bank - open for credit card got it and closed it 😂
HDFC Bank - open for credit card got it and closed it😂
Indusind bank - open for good interest rate but now I ask for credit card upgrade but my RM want only her profit not mine so thinking to close it

Now thinking about open a new account RBL Bank or Ujjivan Small FB any suggestions?
