I hold following bank accounts

  1. ICICI Bank (Savings) - For salary crediting and investments
  2. IDFC First Bank (Savings) - for savings purposes, it gives good rate of interest.
  3. DBS - Idk why I am still holding this.
  4. Paytm Payments Bank - Had opened it long back, not sure why I am holding this too.
  5. Fi.money - For day to day transactions as my primary savings account would get cluttered with few hundred rupees transactions.
  6. Jupiter - Had opened alongside with Fi, thinking to close this.

Only Two Active Savings Account
1. Indian Bank (Savings Purpose which is my oldest account opened as a student aged 18)
2. HDFC (Savings Account where Salary gets credited opened when I first started working)

And Paytm Payments Bank which won't be useful anymore, and in the past too didn't used it much, but hardly few months back re activated it with an intention of using it for day-to-day transactions..

I have 2 branches around me but they have allotted Bengaluru Branch 😅
Same with me.
Is there an option to transfer this account to our nearest branch ?
Also, is there an option to request for check book? I need a cancelled check with my account number mentioned.

“101 First”
It’s a pure zero balance account with no conditions attached
I also hold the same account.
The 101 series of Fincare is similar to 811 of Kotak.
Completely online account u actually don't need to change the home branch.
These new age banks offer same services across all their branches.

They won't freeze FD.
Bank is very safe.
It won't exist now because AU bank has acquired it already.

I think it’s safe, first these deposits are insured via DICGC. Also if we go through the merger details, AU claimed that they have sufficient funds for next 12-18 months even though the bank grows by 20%, hence there shouldn’t be an issue with liquidity (RBI must have validated this before giving approval for merger).
As per my observation account freeze is mostly in 811 where system freezes the account based on transaction pattern. Small Finance Bank shouldn’t have this level tech however I am impressed with Fincare as it’s the only small finance bank that offer virtual debit card. Still for a safer side prefer to have a branch near to your place.
