Infinia HDFC Infinia Priority Pass Charged for Access in Domestic Indian Airports[As of 29th July 2025,No one got charged]

There is no way for us to prove that the T&C on website were updated on March 7th. HDFC can claim anything
yes thats what but the op who got charged his case was completely different he was charged bcuz of guest visits 3~ months back he had used.. so at present we don't have a concrete example if domestic usage of pp is chargeable or not... we need to wait if someone has used after 7th March in 3 months time if he gets charged then rip infinia pp

Chargeable or not, CC isn't confirming. Until I receive a communication, I'd continue to use it and If I get charged will have it reversed. But then that's me. Plan your best way forward.

A couple of people here have e-mailed HDFC last weekend. Let us see what they get in writing.

its not new .. Swiggy dineout benefits also were changed silently .. no mail and all nothing... so nothing new .. it's possible that they must have changed silently

rest it's written clearly on their website so they would blame it on the customer that u didn't see xD
That is a completely different thing. Devaluations on dineout do no cause any monetary loss to anyone directly. Its like HDFC offered discount on Apple products but now its not there. They always specify till when those offers will be there. After that it's in there hand whether to continue or not.

Charging PP usage without intimation would result in users paying for the visit which earlier was free. Users are not expected to keep checking the product page to see if it will be charged. Even CC is not sure on this. Some are saying its chargeable. Some are saying its free.

Priority pass is for outside india...they mention it so many times...It is charged in India...Unfortunately we do not read the imp T&C
Can you please enlighten us with the important tnc?
I couldn't find anything that says its chargeable in India.
On the contrary, I had mailed them a couple months ago before using PP in India, on which they confirmed its free.

This change has been done by a rookie for sure. When such major changes are done, you should keep the wordings clear on the website and T&C doc, also mentioning from when is the new policy applicable. Every Infinia User should be sent a mail mentioning it. If someone complains about charges, HDFC may try to cover saying we have mentioned on website where we removed complimentary mention for PP within India, but from when is it mentioned, why was it not communicated to customer, will come up. HDFC is at a clear disadvantage currently.
On the other hand, it may be that eventhough not chargeable, HDFC is discouraging use of PP within India. Hence they have kept it vague.

Does it mean we can use Infinia card for domestic lounge access for add-on card holders as well. I understand the T&C wording is only talking about primary card holders.

Sad, but just got this official revert from Customer Services, no more PP for domestic lounges. Posting the link the Lounge Tnc in the email.
Yes, agreed. And thank you, @drsel. This is the clearest info on this, as it seems.

However, I just called HDFC Infinia Priority Services [at 1800 266 3310], from where an Executive confirmed that “there is no update” on any T&C concerning Infinia Cards, including on PP usage linked to Infinia Cards. Then, I clearly asked if PP usage still continues to be free/complementary within India for both primary and add-on PP holders, to which the answer was “Yes”. [I have the recording.]

I write this not to negate what @Vbhoj74 has written. I appreciate that he took the trouble of writing to the bank, which wrote back to him; and of course, a written communication is indeed of much higher worth that spoken words. However, I suspect that HDFC are themselves not sure how to play this. In any case, they are supposed to communicate to the customers any change in T&C. Personally speaking, I swiped my PP yesterday [09 March] at the 1st Floor lounge at GAU Airport. Would I be charged? I don’t think so. On what ground will they levy a charge if I was not notified of them in advance??

That is my stand too. Bank can change terms. But as a major bank they need to officially intimate beforehand, with some weeks gap, before it kicks in.

I have also emailed them, explicitly asking for the effective date of new T&C. Let's see.
I called Infinia dedicated support and they said you can keep using PP for domestic lounge, I wanted to get this in writing so I sent an email and they replied exact opposite. I am not sure what would happen to my domestic PP usage on 3rd March.

In India, people have opinion on each & every topic....Any info on this forum, just take as a pinch of salt and do your own study.

Priority Pass issued by any bank is chargeable in India....I received PP from HDFC and ICICI banks and on welcome letter, they clearly mention do not use in India We are only talking about PP issued with the Infinia here. All others are chargeable while Infinia’s is free. Why understand the distinction? All PP are chargeable if used in India EXCEPT for those issued with HDFC Infinia. Try to understand the difference.

I too had raised a query regarding the ongoing discussion with infinia.services. Here is the response which sounds as if I have asked for something which needed further investigation. If the communication about this change to HDFC's staff is clear, they should communicate right away.😀

I called. They said it is free for domestic.

I mailed and they sent a generic reply stating use Infinia domestically and PP overseas.( Not specifically stating PP is no longer free for domestic use).

😏
