Infinia HDFC Infinia Priority Pass Charged for Access in Domestic Indian Airports[As of 29th July 2025,No one got charged]

Yesterday I wanted to access goa Dabolim lounge and read on tf community that they are denying lot of cards including axis magnus, so thought of using pp, but then came across this thread and didn't want to risk so called Infinia customer care to confirm if pp access will be complimentary or not in India.

They clearly said recently they have limited priority pass for international access only and for any lounge access in India we are supposed to use Infinia card (primary and add on, no multiple swipes on Infinia allowed for guests as well). They also confirmed that charges will be applicable for pp of used in India. And they also pointed out that same has been updated on Infinia product page which when I verified I could see that they have removed the word complimentary access for domestic lounge.

So in short don't use pp in India now or else charges will apply.

P.S. I used my Infinia at goa lounge to get access and many cards like idfc, axis etc were not accepted there

Interesting.

Another poster in this thread was told by customer care that, there is no change in the status, when he enquired about domestic use of Infinia PP. 🙁

And HDFC Smartbuy still says it is free.

if you had called them once more, another agent would've said PP is still free across the globe. They wouldn't just remove PP domestic lounge access and not increase lounge coverage on Infinia standalone.

I'm waiting for grievance redressal team to respond on this. Infinia concierge team says whatever neurones in their brain make them say.

It means, HDFC failed in communicating clearly as to the current status. They could have added domestic lounge use of PP is chargeable. Period.
If I was HDFC I would make it very clear --

Use ONLY Infinia credit card for entry to domestic and international Lounges which are located within India.

Use Priority pass ONLY for foreign country domestic and international lounges.
These must be located outside India

In India, people have opinion on each & every topic....Any info on this forum, just take as a pinch of salt and do your own study.

Priority Pass issued by any bank is chargeable in India....I received PP from HDFC and ICICI banks and on welcome letter, they clearly mention do not use in India

Sure. I am not seeing HDFC saying concrete about domestic visits being chargeable. Till now. That is my contention. And any good bank worth its salt, will communicate beforehand.

So, you received Infinia with welcome letter stating Infinia PP is to be used only overseas? When did you receive your Infinia, if you wish to share? That could settle this, since it is given in writing to you by HDFC.

Agree.

An additional sentence could have clarified this.

Unless it is stated clearly that PP will be chargeable in domestic lounges, how can we believe it?
It is not mentioned that PP to be used for India. So it will be a risky affair to use it (i understand that charges are not mentioned).

Earlier it WAS mentioned . Now it is NOT mentioned. So it leads to confusion. HDFC can add one line and confirm.

It is risky for us, but HDFC will get lot of bad PR it it were true.

That is for rg. Earlier infinia pp was free of charge for domestic & international use.

Due to better coverage, many preffered to use pp over the cc.

if it has changed from complimentary access within and outside india

to only outside india means same thing 😂

its not new .. Swiggy dineout benefits also were changed silently .. no mail and all nothing... so nothing new .. it's possible that they must have changed silently

rest it's written clearly on their website so they would blame it on the customer that u didn't see xD

It may not be the same thing but it depends on how you infer the rephrased statements and that's exactly what people are doing.
For other cards, they have mentioned that usage of PP domestically would attract charges of $27 + taxes but in case of Infinia it's not mentioned. No formal communication in this regard. For now, they may be wanting to discourage use of PP domestically but no charges may be levied if you do like earlier they discouraged using card for domestic lounges access (and encouraged using PP for the purpose)

yes but hdfc is known for silent devaluations too .. recently Swiggy dineout benefits were changed so u never know .. rest even if they dont mention .. as per the mentioned thing currently on the site means no complimentary access so that means chargeable right.?

so better to avoid for sometime maybe.. in 3 months time will get to know bcuz many ppl have used it recently if they dont get charged ez else rip

Latest MITC (Ver 2.5, Mar 2025)
Please refer to Section II, Para K, Page 23 of latest MITC (i.e. Ver 2.5 dated Mar 2025, available here).
It states, "Infinia, Infinia (Metal Edition): Complimentary priority pass membership for Primary and add-on card holders with unlimited lounge access for priority pass card holder."

Only the card validation charges will be applicable, as per Section I, Para iii, k, Page 8), which states that,

"₹2 will be charged on the Credit Card and the same shall not be reversed by the bank (All variants except MasterCard).
₹25 will be charged and made void at the POS terminal (Applicable for MasterCard variant), which means that the transaction is cancelled by the merchant before it settles through your credit card account and hence it will not appear on your credit card statement.
Rs. 2 will be charged and made void at the POS terminal for MasterCard variant from 1st January 2024 onwards."

So, unlimited complimentary lounge visits are possible on Infinia Priority Passes.
Only card validation charges will be deducted/reimbursed, as applicable, as quoted above.

Hope this helps. 🙂
In that case, we can't trust these T&C. I have Infinia Metal MC and it charges Rs 2 and does not reverse it. Not that I care, but this is not aligned with above T&C. So can't really trust any T&C from HDFC

as per hdfc bank site is changed now thats why the chaos not bcuz 1 person was charged xD bcuz the wordings have changed around 7th march so no one can say they were charged bcuz of the change it will take 3 months from now to be 101% sure about the change
There is no way for us to prove that the T&C on website were updated on March 7th. HDFC can claim anything

if it has changed from complimentary access within and outside india

to only outside india means same thing 😂

It can be interpreted differently also.

EDIT: Banks use legal language in their loan documents so as NOT to leave anything to interpretation. Why not plug this loophole also?

Chargeable or not, CC isn't confirming. Until I receive a communication, I'd continue to use it and If I get charged will have it reversed. But then that's me. Plan your best way forward.
