Hi,

Say you have one mobile number for your regular banking transactions (old account). This number is also associated with a CKYC record (PAN + Address)

But your aadhaar is say, linked to another mobile number and these days, many banks specifically require the Aadhaar number as well the mobile number linked to it to start onboarding for their credit cards/bank account (looking at you IDFC/AU Small Finance/IndusInd & others!)

Because the aadhaar mobile number isn't linked to your existing CKYC, and banks these days seem to fetch CKYC for every small thing, does it create a mismatch/failure point on using it for online authentication? Even if address on your existing CKYC record and the aadhaar are the same?
If you have two ckyc records details , then You have to mail them to disable one record. As having more then one ckyc record is not allowed.

These dual CKYC posts make me feel PAN is not the identifier (illogical as it may sound; because PAN is obviously the most unique identifier/ de-dupe available)

The identifier is probably mob no and identity document submitted (which can be passport/DL/Voters/Aadhaar)

Diff identity document from that in original CKYC, but same mob- existing CKYC gets updated.

Diff identity document from that in original CKYC AND diff mob- new CKYC record gets created?
