How would you rate payzapp in comparison to Gpay/phonepe?
I just used payzapp to make my 1st payment and interface was awesome.

Yes pay has disabled user generated UPI ID. They now allow selection from suggestions only.

Has anyone had the chance to try it yet?

I tried it today. Just like UPI, had to set a PIN (6 digits, though). We can use it just like UPI (wherever UPI is accepted), There are no perks of using e-rupee than UPI. Unlike UPI (where NPCI and individual banks are involved with PIN or PIN-less operation), with CBDC, it's RBI that takes care of PIN related actions (set, reset, authentication, etc).

On the receiver end, the receiver UPI ID is shown as credcbdc@drcred (name: CRED Digital) which is good for privacy, but bad for verifying a transaction on a busy shop as there could...

I just use Samsung pay. Easy to use and convenient. No cashbsck anymore but hey, that's the story with almost all upi apps now-a-days.

It is just to prevent your mobile number showing in plain text to receiver.

You enter mobile number to send money that is with people who you both mutually know
Like you don't know me
If you want to pay me let's say 1Lac and its one-time transaction and you pay me (please)
With that transaction I get your UPI ID which has your number, I can use that number anywhere, share it with anyone.

So for strangers like street side stalls you can use custom vpa so that they don't get your number.

SBI and BOB. But its better to use UPI circle feature. Its designed for this purpose only. BHIM and PhonePe has this feature as of now, along with custom VPA.

Most of the banks. Btw, why are you using IDFC'S MB for UPI?
Use 3rd party app.

Tried but gpay is saying "coming soon" for me. For phonepe full assignment option is not available. Only BHIM has full UPI circle.

I read a news that only name in Savings a/c should be shown on transaction and not Nicknames.
Hope many of you have already known this.
