Best mode of payment for booking train tickets through IRCTC

I have to book a train ticket through IRCTC. Wanted to know your expert opinions about the best mode of payment.
Which app and which credit card is the best?
Is it Payzapp?

Aap to bade heavy driver nikle. Tatkal ticket logon ko irctc se milta nahi direct aur aapko usme Smartbuy aur Cashback bhi lena hai.

mere pass SBI cashback Card hai Amazon pay wallet mein around 10000 hai jo ki voucher and RBL debit card se aaye hain(around 2-2.5% return hoga)
iske alava HDFC easy shop Platinum Debit Card hai aur HDFC millennia Credit Card
hai abhi aap batao ki best value kaun se milegi?

Both are 2AC Tickets. Then why did they charge Rs 40 service charge in only one ticket?
Probably they are charging for more than 5k worth of transaction. Or in a day, there's a limit or something.

Rs 40 / 20 (for Sleeper) is charged on per transaction basis. If you book 6 tickets on single transaction then you will be charged Rs 40 only. The same is charged for 1 ticket also.

Do a test txn of 100 by Purchasing Apay Gift Card or search the Forum for the Answer.

Millenia CC gives 5% cashback on buying Apay GC.

By DC you mean debit card? And 5% + 5% applies for all debit cards or only debit cards like easy shop platinum debit cards?

AFAIK, only Millennia Debit Card gives 5% (Smartbuy CB) + 5% (Millennia CB). 400 is the monthly limit for Millennia CB.

Though its written MMT generic voucher can't be redeemed for train tickets but many people have reported that it works. Is it working for you?
