Best mode of payment for booking train tickets through IRCTC

Hey folks,
I have to book a train ticket through IRCTC. Wanted to know your expert opinions about the best mode of payment.
Which app and which credit card is the best?
Is it Payzapp?

I booked IRCTC tickets through PayZapp (SmartBuy), and used my HDFC Bank Platinum Debit Card, how much cashback I can expect? Where exactly would I get it and how many days?

this is the risk free 5% on train ticket booking. MMT route is very risky.

Yeah nobody knows when it gets patched and we're left with useless MMT voucher. As MMT is very costly.

No, it is solely for Direct Ticket Bookings via OFFICIAL IRCTC WEBSITE

So, I just booked some tickets in IRCTC with Amazon pay wallet. With 1.8% charges and extra charges( for not using UPI) it works out about same as using UPI (difference is ₹1-₹2). 😐

I used easyshop platinum to book irctc through smartbuy on 14 December so I should get the cashback associated with this transaction in March. So that cashback will be associated with which month? March or December?

1) You can use your Payzapp card on Smartbuy train booking portal.

2) Use credit card on UPI. Choose UPI option on IRCTC "app" & pay via Easebuzz gateway. There you can use CC UPI. PayU gateway also works for CC UPI on Desktop site.
