Eager to know about kyc fraud because one fine day, union bank branch called me asking me to visit branch for re-kyc. The fact was I completed rekyc only 2 months prior to that so thought something is off. Checked from netbanking and it was showing no kyc due for me.

Since that day I am still thinking why branch called me for kyc again. I guess something similar to OP's story was about to happen to me if I went.
