I just completed my application for AmEx Gold Card from their website, and the process got completed. Instantly approved, and further processing is going on. Others may also start applying.

MRCC. might wait for referral/fee drop. 4500 is just too much for me.

I gave my employment and salary details and it was approved automatically. Maybe they might ask for salary slip later in the process.

No KYC at all? Were there any hard enquiries for you by other banks in the last 3 months?

True, But he had also mentioned that's unofficial. But you know, the card is getting instantly approved

As he said, its instant approval. for certain salary range, its saying no documents needed

No enquiries by other banks. Just had good cibil score and no payment defaults. Like I said, maybe later on they will given KYC requests. Because it is very weird if they simply distribute card like that 😂

From what I've seen my Dad doing, if you have a gold charge card, you can get a MRCC credit card as accompanying card for no extra cost. Plus I had the goal of getting Plat in future. Considering both these, I applied for gold one. But yes, MRCC seems slightly better in India, as per the existing reward rates and card cost. Maybe they will update the reward structure soon as they have relaunched and want new customers. Let's see.
