Hello everyone,
I'm planning a trip to Taj Fisherman's Cove, Chennai in Sep 2025. We are 6 adults and 2 infants. I would need 3 rooms. There's a deluxe room garden view with breakfast + 1 meal available. Std Rate - 18,880 and Member rate - 14,160. Need guidance how can I get max value.
Room 1 - I will book at standard rate and will use pay at hotel and will use Amex voucher. So bal 8,880 through cash
Room 2 & 3 - Will book using member rate and will use pay at hotel. Here, I will use two 14k vouchers from Amex gold collection. Bal 320 through cash.
Questions
1. Is this optimal? Can I save more/get more value?
2. Anyone who stayed at this place - Is the Garden view room worth? If not, I might as well take Superior room.
3. If I use Taj gift card to pay for the 2 rooms while booking and in case I cancel as per policy (7 days before to get full refund), will I get the gift card back? Anyone who has done a similar thing can please let me know. Else, I will select pay at room for both bookings (Room 1, Room 2,3).
