Is anyone aware of good links that track India-specific deals or subscription offers? Also, I would appreciate it if folks could post links to the deals.

Anyone previously purchased Samsung mobiles in US and using them in India?
I would like to get some clarifications regarding the operating features here in India.

1. Kindly check GSMArena for exact COUNTRY Specific VERSION e.g SM-XXXX
2. Then check the supported list of NETWORK 4G + 5G Bands for that specific model
3. Match them with the MOBILE NETWORK PROVIDER/s u plan to use and check if your phone supports the FREQUENCIES.
3.1 U can check kimovil or directly visit MNP's website e.g. reliance 5G uses n28, n78, and n258 bands.

It depends if phone is bought on postpaid & even prepaid from US MNP (MOBILE NETWORK PROVIDER) then SOMETIMES :-
1. May need to be unlocked. (regulators were trying to force MNPs to sell unlocked phones ; so not sure abt current status)
2. Features like Mobile/USB Tethering may disabled by US MNP (to make customer's pay extra for separate device specific data plans like tablets, watch)

Above issues can be avoided by buying unlocked phones from NON-MNP

Now if the device has been opened in US and already set up in US then you may need to create a new Google playstore profile/email with account country as INDIA. (that way you will have india specific Uber, Gpay, Samsung pay etc & have access to all playstore apps specific to INDIA)

Apart from that specific features like call recording etc you can check the US model specific unboxing/ features review videos on youtube to confirm.

We're buying UNLOCKED mobile

Call recording feature isn't available in US versions. I read somewhere that country code needs to be changed in mobile and it can be enabled in India. Not sure how to do that.
