You can always ask HDFC for a waiver. They generally do give a waiver a couple of times. After a couple of years, you can take a call to close the card or request them for LTF on it if you are lucky.

Just hold on for a few days, you will get all the details. Don't worry about it showing under process online. The system is slow. Once you get your hands on the physical card, you can set it up on the SBI app. Just be patient :)
Not worth it, honestly. If they do find out, you're in serious trouble. If not, lucky you. But they definitely can find out if they wish to. And SC is very particular about these things.
