In short (what changed):

- Buy-one-Get-one free movie/non-movie ticket offer on BookMyShow will be discontinued.
- 24*7 complimentary concierge services will be discontinued (seems like no one using it).
- Complimentary airport meet & assist services reduced and/or discontinued.
- Gold/Jewelry, Govt. Services, Utilities not eligible for milestone, normal reward points - nothing.
- Domestic lounge access required 50,000 in previous 3 calendar months.

Axis ko customer se koi matlab nehi hai. Bas accha card devalue karte raho aur inko sirf annual fees aur profit se matlab hai.

They should atleast rethink of annual fee waiver after these devaluations.

Axis Bank recently announced significant changes to the Axis Select credit card, effective from April 20, 2024. These changes will impact reward points earning, travel benefits, and fees. Here's a breakdown of the key points:

Fewer Rewards and Higher Spends:

• Goodbye BookMyShow & Concierge: These perks are being discontinued entirely.
• Golf Game Limits: You'll get 6 free golf games per year, with an additional 6 if you spend over ₹3 lakhs annually.
• Lounge Access Hurdle: Complimentary domestic lounge access now requires a minimum spend of ₹50,000 in the preceding 3 months (with exceptions for newly issued cards).
• Reward Point Restrictions:
  • Earn exclusions: Spending on gold/jewelry won't earn reward points.
  • Milestone & Fee Waiver exclusions: Several categories (including rent, utilities, insurance, and education) are excluded from milestone achievement and annual fee waiver calculations.
  • Transfer Partner Limits: There are caps on how many points you can transfer to certain airline and hotel programs.

Changes to Existing Offers:

• Annual Fee Waiver Threshold:
  • New cardholders: Spend ₹8 lakhs in the previous year to waive the fee.
  • Existing cardholders: Maintain the current ₹6 lakh threshold until April 2025, then the ₹8 lakh threshold applies.
• Swiggy & Big Basket Discounts: Increased minimum order values (₹1000 for Swiggy, ₹3000 for Big Basket) to qualify for discounts.

So, ACE is still best entry level Axis CC in terms of offline cashback.

There would be spend based lounge access.
Only Atlas , BP, and Reserve would get unconditional lounge access.
Magnus would need 50k spend in last 3 months to access lounges

M4B and Atlas are still good rewarding cards compared to competition. Let's see if they fix their system (exploits/abuse) or impact everyone with further program wide devaluation and increased fee.

Even Atlas got devalued today.
