Steps for getting invite for RBL Zomato Edition CC

Initially I heard from a youtuber that I can request the bank for the card but even he was not sure about the approach.

Step 1: I posted a tweet tagging RBL bank and RBL care team that I am interested in their Zomato Edition Card. The bank replied that it is invite based card and wait for the invite to get the card.



Step 2: I noticed a reply from Edition team, which I suppose is the official account by Zomato to DM them my registered phone and email address. Initially I ignored the reply since it was already deferred by the banking partner. But, then I thought of giving it a try and replied to Edition team with my details on DM.



Step 3: Exactly after 4 days of providing my zomato account details the Edition team reverted back and asked me check my Zomato account after 24-48 hours for the invite. This morning when I checked my Zomato app, I saw the invite visible in Money tab.

Step 4: Just provided my PAN details in the Zomato app and within 2 minutes my Credit Limit was displayed. I completed my KYC with the bank and within 30 minutes received mail that my virtual card is active to use.

I have tried my best to jot down the steps and all the necessary things which I did to get the card. Please feel free to ask thing regarding the same. I will be more than happy to help.

For my case no, it was just a Soft Enquiry in Cibil, vKYC and that's it.

So I had gotten the invite last month when I was 22. I just turned 23 years old today and decided to apply for the card.

Got the age criteria message saying I'm not eligible. I thought it was capturing the age from when I got the invite, so I contacted Zomato chat support and they reset my application. I applied for the second time, yet again it shows me the same age criteria error. I figure I'd contact Zomato chat support to reset my application again and wait a day more for the 23 years to cement in, and then apply yet another time.

Only this time Zomato says they can only reset my application once, and now I will have to contact RBL directly 🤦🏻‍♂️
Any hope this error will automatically disappear maybe in a day when I for sure will have completed living 23 years on this earth?

I managed to resolve this by contacting Zomato Edition on twitter and resetting my application but now it says "We are unable to issue you a card"
Contacted Zomato support and they say it is unserviceable at my pincode even though it's a Tier 1 city 😞

Not all pin codes in big cities are serviceable.

Yeah looks like it unfortunately. At the pace it's going, I don't think it's gonna be LTF by the time they get around to finally offering me one 😂

Got the invite, limit shown as 2.2L.
I live in non-serviceable area (Aadhar Address). Selected Aadhar address first, then it threw up some error. Asked the customer support to reset my application. Then I had my friend's Mumbai address saved in Zomato. Selected Mumbai address for the application the second time. Had to wait for 2 days. Now I'm getting "Aadhar data didn't match". Don't know how to proceed from here.

Does this card yield instant bank discounts on e-commerce platforms?

It isn't very often seen that any Instant Discount is given in Amazon/Flipkart on RBL but from 4th there is an offer starting on Amazon.
I'm going to see whether I'm being offered any discount, will let you know.

But I guess should be given since only 2cards are excluded from these kind of discounts Amazon Pay ICICI & Flipkart Axis, reason being both of them are rival to each other. But Zomato is not in the same league so should not be a challenge.

My current address & My aadhar address is Siliguri which is not serviceable.


What should I enter in delivery address & Office address?
At which location I should do my vkyc?
Aadhar address will be different if I put other address.

How to proceed with the zomato edition card application?

I don't think you should try again unless the pincode comes inside the serviceable area. It might hurt you but is true.
Secondly if the AADHAR Address & the address which you will use for the vKYC is not more than 10 Kilometers then it's fine, doesn't matter where you are.
Delivery address should be your home address similar to aadhar address.

At the worst case scenario change your aadhar address to a serviceable PIN Code by Bank Statement/Electricity Bill if possible.
But I strongly suggest to wait unless Siliguri becomes serviceable.

they rejected my application, emailed them, Called me next day, offered me upgrade, now I have Zomato rbl card 😄

They have processed my application in an hour and issued a card, now waiting for physical delivery

Did you face adhaar address mis match with delivery address?

Many people has got this error message in this group, something ike data mis match.
Plz give detail explanation of the process how you applied and used that gps.
It will help others as well like me.

I didn't face any adhar mismatch

What I did was
1) added my friend's place as my home also some other location as work
2) installed fake GPS app and changed my location to my friend's
(Keep it on till the process is done)
3) applied the card on zomato, no problem faced(today)
4) kyc done by RBL in 15 mins(asked for my address I told the friend's address)
5) took 2 hrs and they approved the card and I can see the virtual card in zomato app

you have to email rbl and Zomato for card linking with your Zomato app.
