Got IDFC wealth credit card very easily

Anyone looking to apply for IDFC wealth credit card, go through this post once

I used to apply for IDFC credit cards last year. Every time it got rejected. This time I went to a mall and applied through an agent there.

The process was very simple. He said there are only two criteria for IDFC wealth cc. I only wanted wealth.
1. Salary 4 lakhs
OR
2. Existing card limit 4 lakhs for c2c and at least 1 year old card

I applied c2c using my ICICI apay card with 4.1 lakh limit and 1.2 years old, contray to popular belief it doesn’t work for c2c. The agent did all the application, no salary slips, no documents. Don’t know what salary he filled, but I was shown wealth and applied. I was surprised though.

Later office address verification happened on phone, I said I wfh. I was also sent a mail on my office email to verify company address and name. Process was smooth, even though their portal sucks. Approved within 3 days excluding weekend. Got same limit as apay.

I know this card is devalued now, but still it’s good for offers and dreamfolks membership, which I guess doesn’t have any minimum spends criteria.

10 days earlier I got sapphiro LTF under alumni program, and also got axis select. This is my last application of the year. Next year, I am looking to apply DCB or regalia LTF.

EDIT on 31st July: I received my card. If anyone wondering the lounge access associated with this card. Here’s the detailed info I checked on dreamfoks.

Domestic lounge: 4/qtr, can use cc or dreamfolks card. I know people might challenge this, but IDFC’s partnership with dreamfoks is a bit different compared to ICICI. Hence can use both

International lounge: 4/qtr using dreamfolks card

Railway lounge: 4/qtr. Can take 1 guest as well on that card

Domestic Airport spa: 4/qtr

Grand Total: 16, definitely worth for a LTF card

Hi guys i saw this post yesterday and decided to apply for wealth card. But mistakenly i put my dob as 22 yrs old instead of 20.
It showed wealth card with 8L limit and no income proof required.
I tried with my dob and it is showing is wow card.
I have infinia with 8L limit.
Can’t I apply card to card?

Age uncertainty ... apt username.
I can understand putting 20 in place of 22, as most of us not yet registered the 2 years of Corona, but not this.

For your question, nothing can be done.

Probably they have age restriction of 21, for their main stream cards..
In that case wait until you turn 21

Applied yesterday, offered me select with 4.25 limit with NO income proof, VKYC completed yesterday itself, however, status is still "application under verification" stage. NO idea why it did NOT offer me Wealth, applied against Kotak White 6.75L, salary input given was 2.21L ..

Should I cancel the application & try again for wealth ? Is it possible to cancel the application at this stage ? Still NO call or no one has come either to office or home for verification.

Not possible to cancel at this stage unless they do physical verification which u can choose not to do or not activate the card once it's delivered.

Will that not be a decline then ?.. Post which I am guessing the cooling period is 6 months before I can apply again ? Kindly confirm.

Also, what happens in case there is NO physical verification ? I'm an existing IDFC PL, CD & AL customer ....

Stuck with select then I guess, provided they approve the card. Till last month the only option I was getting was for the Wow card !

Also, can you kindly tell me apart from the reward points for wealth @ every 100 rupees spent vs 125 for select & International lounge access (I don't need that as I already have SBI Aurum, Amex Plat charge, Kotak White reserve & ICICI Sapphiro which covers international lounge & Golf) is there any other notable difference between wealth & select ?

Not an issue, you can cancel the card & apply again the very next day using different number. It'll go through

Home or office verification did not happen till now. Will it happen now at this stage. Is that why the application is stuck at this stage?

I Think you should be alright here, it seems to me you are now past the verification stage if you are in credit review phase. Put your SS

This is the exact status right now.. The lady who phoned me today evening did ask for my office timings for physical verification, however at that time the status was under application verification..
Checked right now & it has changed.

Applied for the card Sunday evening, VKYC completed on Sunday & the application moved to "Under application verification" on Sunday the 11th itself.

Yesterday at around 17.45 some lady from IDFC called me & verified my home &office address including my job profile & also asked for my office timings in case some one was to visit me for physical verification.

Then my application moved to "Under credit review" within an hour of the phone call.

I'm not NTB with IDFC & have PL, CD & AL with them, also had a savings a/c which I had only closed in December '23. Ironically till I had the savings a/c with them every time I applied they only gave me the offer for the Wow card !

Hence still confused if any physical verification will happen ... Reading the threads suggests that physical verification happens during the "application verification" stage, but this is IDFC !

Will update if IDFC still does a physical verification during credit review stage .. They might just have waived it off since I have ongoing CDL, AL & PL with them..
