Axis Magnus Suggestions to utilize Reward Points accumulated before 5:2 devaluation (1Lac Points+)

Hi everyone,

As the thread title suggests I have accumulated around 1 Lac + points in the ER portal and expecting to receive the monthly bonus for April by July end. Now the inherent reaction looking at the upcoming devaluation is to immediately convert the points to a suitable Miles/Hotel FFP.

I was looking at first converting to ITC green points (75K points to 60K GP's) since that provides me the flexibility to further transfer it to Mariott Bonvoy points. Beyond I will have around 60-70K points leftover which I am confused about what to do. I was looking at the Accor conversions as well but somehow I'm unable to get a hang of their program and where to utilize the points.

I guess many of the fellow members must be facing a similar dilemma therefore any suggestions will be more than welcome.

I'd suggest Accor 1 lac + Singapore Airlines 50k. Your hotel stay will be taken care of with Accor and you can get 1 ticket for SQ. If you have other cards, can transfer more points to SQ and get the 2nd ticket as well.

Edit: You can even get both tickets, depending on the country you play to visit. Look out for Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escape offers that run quite frequently throughout the year. Can save 30% of the miles required for selected destinations.

Aeroplan is better but dont book air canada as they have dynamic pricing for their own flights so need to book partner flights.

I hope no one sells their ER cheaply. There are plenty ways to redeem them and extract a minimum of 0.60 - 0.80p even by making the worst choices. I do not mind helping people get the best value out of ER till the 5:4 ratio exists.

It does depend on person to person. But people are asking ER for as low as 25p which is a pathetic rate. Even with making the worst possible choices you can easily get 0.5p out 1 ER using transfer partners.

Yes. Because I wanted to know the rates people are offering and it turns out its is a very pathetic rate of 20 to 30p. I just hope people do not sell at those prices.

I think Etihad through Aeroplan is the best choice.
