How many bank accounts do you have and for what purposes?

TF Select
I hold following bank accounts

  1. ICICI Bank (Savings) - For salary crediting and investments
  2. IDFC First Bank (Savings) - for savings purposes, it gives good rate of interest.
  3. DBS - Idk why I am still holding this.
  4. Paytm Payments Bank - Had opened it long back, not sure why I am holding this too.
  5. Fi.money - For day to day transactions as my primary savings account would get cluttered with few hundred rupees transactions.
  6. Jupiter - Had opened alongside with Fi, thinking to close this.

Nice Collection 👍
Do you have Chq Book, DC for all regular bank account !!
How do you manage NB MB for above all !!
How do you use all of them efficiently !!
I only have 3/4 chq books, most of them have dc except few
I just maintain the minimum required balance in most of them
I don't, I only use 2-3 main banks regularly

How's your experience with functionalities, features and options available in banking apps,
(Account Management, Fund Transfer, DC Chq Book Management, Limits, etc)
How do you rank them.
I don't use them often except IDFC, HDFC and karnataka bank, so I dont know much. I just opened many accounts whenever required

Every bank is good in their own way .
I like SBI net banking for neft and imps , simple and simple.

Mobile banking kotak 811 , HDFC is also good but kotak's UI is better

I don't use cheque .

Among IDFC vs HDFC, which Bank would you say is better based on IB/MB features and overall customer experience?
I’m new to HDFC Bank, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far:
HDFC is much better when it comes to transaction alerts on email — it’s the fastest I’ve seen after Axis. In comparison, IDFC doesn’t send email alerts for transactions.
Mobile banking with IDFC isn’t that good either. For the past three months, the iOS app has been auto-logging out on both my phone and my mom’s, which is very annoying.
The HDFC app seems good, and even HDFC NetBanking feels better.

I don't have great customer experience with both the banks.

Idfc mb always asks for location, don't know what they do with location.

Got it, thank you sharing your experience. I have been a long term Kotak Bank customer and have not had much complaints. Hence, wanted to know if HDFC/IDFC provided a better experience good enough to transition to it.

IDFC is 🆒
Their SMS is always prompt and I do get email notifications everytime. Even the app is decent.
Only issue - No CC offers sadly 🫤

HDFC - Salary account. I like the new UI --> EasyShop Plat for autopayments .

ICICI - My oldest account and original salary account , 0 mab with CC having above 4L limit --> Use it mainly for their iWish RD

IDFC - Got the 10k variant as 0MAB for the CC autopay offer --> used it for cc bill payment and i usually put money in it for interest rate

Indusind - Exclusive variant , 0Mab with pinnacle as surrogate --> used the 3 DCs for BMS, 20% discount on bigbasket etc . Major usecase is their 0 forex 0 atm withdrawal DC that was a game changer for me at Ireland.

Canara Bank - 2k Mab account --> RSDC

IOB - Public account , i think same 2k Mab --> RSDC

Kotak Super 811 - got it for Metal DC --> Use it mainly for 5% on fuel when park+ route is not available

Airtel PB - 0 mab --> Got it for the Airtel NCMC card since i can update balanmce with my phone's NFC

Full KYC Wallets :

Payzapp --> Simply activated when i got HDFC acc
Amazon --> Simply activated
Mobikwik --> Amex loading
Ebix --> CC bill pay

Wife :

Suryoday - Basic variant --> FD ( amazing value)
Indian Bank - salary account --> RSDC and useless in every other way

Note : also have family members with account in Federal Bank, BOB , SBI . Haven't decided if I want to have my own in these ones yet.
