Axis Atlas Rejection due to unmasked aadhar

Good morning,

Pre post note : I meet the income criteria and have a good credit score.

I applied for axis atlas in June online through axis website and an agent came for KYC and processed. The documents he uploaded were it returns and the other sheets. He did mask my aadhar first four digits and uploaded
I got a message saying application rejected with the reason that unmasked aadhar was in my uploaded documents.

I thought maybe a mistake was made and left it.

I reapplied directly through another person I know in axis and again the same agent came for KYC. This time he wiped up the whole Aadhar number and he uploaded the documents and I still get rejected with the same reason.

Customer care guys don't do anything. They just say application is rejected we cannot do anything
I have check every single line in the document I uploaded and aadhar number is only there in one place where it was covered with ink to make sure it could not be seen. I checked every single line in the printed copy and even used search in the soft copy of the document.

Is there an issue with axis or am i doing something wrong

There is no email I can find to send a complaint to axis guys so that they can take a look at it.

Its been more than 10 days I applied for Atlas via online mode. It generated application number. But since then thereare no calls, emails or SMS updates to me. When I am tracking card status via application number, it is showing ' no records found'.

Within how many days you got call and KYC done?

Sorry for the late reply. I got a call after 4/5 days.
I tried a second time and got rejected for same reason as last time. Unmasked aadhar. Even emailed the nodal officer and he said the same thing.

Spoke with an axis bank person who I know, he said axis has paused cards due to some backend issue till September 2nd.

You should get a call after that.

I edited my computation sheet with Adobe and starred the Aadhar number - let's see what happens this time.

There's option to download masked aadhaar from aadhaar website and digilocker. They are rejecting as you are yourself masking the digits 😂
You are not allowed to tamper your IDs in any form, they are rejecting as it is tampered.

As per latest RBI guidelines, banks should only take masked aadhaar cards to prevent misuse by anyone in the bank.

There's option to download masked aadhaar from aadhaar website and digilocker. They are rejecting as you are yourself masking the digits 😂

I did not tamper with my aadhar identity proof.
I have my Masked aadhar with me. I have been using it as identity proof for hotel stays since more than a year.

The unmasked aadhar number that axis bank got was from my Computation of income sheet which was given by my chartered accountant which was uploaded for income proof along with my IT returns acknowledgement. It has my full aadhar number mentioned on it.

My identity was checked by Aadhar fingerprint and otp, so I did not have to submit any identity proof document.

So now I have edited my computation of income sheet given by my CA.

The nodal officer also said the same thing. He said my aadhar number was visible on the 2023-2024 computation sheet which was uploaded. The agent who uploaded struck it off with a pen - maybe it was still visible after that. Not sure.

I have not applied again after editing the computation sheet. Waiting till the axis guy i know says ok.
