Which Debit Card to use for Credit Card Bill Payment in July 2025

Axis definitely worked for me just 2 hours ago. Paid bill close to 1L, got the points credited immediately.

did you pay using IDFC Rupay card or Debit card?

With rupay you'll get phonepe pvt ltd which do not result in points. which give points comes when you use visa card where 0.6% will be charges as convenience fee if the trans amt is above 2000 and 0.3% if below.

Actually I am using visa idfc card only

Offcourse I believe so, you know if I had knew this I would have not used scapia cc and directly used my private dc on my last month europe trip. Private dc would have given me rp and zero forex markup together. 🤕

Oh ok, then I believe it's not worth it as most use millenia to credit 40k on Amazon pay and earn 400 cashback regularly. This doesn't have separate quota.

yes but you can't use those points for anything. It will be locked there untill you reach some 10k points. (so as to buy something useful)
Basically those SBI reward points have become almost useless.

So, we will get points, the only new thing is the minimum number of points needed for redemption, right?

Yes. And also the bill payment redemption option.

Earlier you could use 4 points to pay 1 rs towards credit card bill. Now that option of paying towards credit card bill itself is not there.

Yep. My wife didn't even have surname. Just first name. After the marriage we haven't gotten around to adding my surname to her yet till even today. Will probably do it but it's too much of a hassle.

State doesn't matter. Again as I said before I added my wife when she wasn't even my wife and she lived in diff state too.

Process - Make sure to get the person to open a idfc acc online, don't involve bank person or RM here, just open acc and fund it, 10k or 25k doesn't matter. Once acc is opened, no need to wait for even dc to get delivered, just contact your RM wheoever has wealth acc or any other variant, ask for addition of member as family, say add this xyz person.

RM might ask who is that person to you, it really doesn't matter, just say brother sister whatever. Now that person and you will get consent sms instantly, and once done, wait for 2 days, idfc will add that person in 2 days and in 4 days that person will get dc.
