Those are not inter-linked for account variant.

Account variant depends on TRV / MAB / QAB ..

They’re both different things. You’ll have to upgrade savings account to select.

No, I did <2L when they allowed dc for any amount

MCC as told by customer care chat for my recent transaction on SaveSage dated 11th June is 5454 and they confirmed that it is eligible for cashback.
However, the problem is that the MCC is not constant and keeps changing. It takes 2 days for the transaction to get posted until which customer care cannot let us know the MCC. By then, we cannot be sure if the MCC remained same.

Where are these MCCs mentioned, and are you sure the 'utilities' keyword is listed on their terms and conditions page? Last time I did a few transactions with MCC 4900 and received cashback for those
