Utility Bill Clarification

Our society generates a cumulative monthly bill for maintenance + utilities, which contains a QR code too. If I use a RUPAY Credit card which does not earn any rewards on Utility spends (e.g. Indusind RUPAY CC) for paying said invoice, by scanning the QR, then -

(1) would I earn points as it is UPI Spend.
(2) would I not earn reward points as it is a utility spend.

I am confused @#$%. Please guide!

Uf u have rupay. U will earn base reward . regardless of merchant categories.

Only accelerated reward for eligible category.
Try upi. U will find it next month .
Which rupay you have

I have Indusind RUPAY Card, Axis IOCL RUPAY Card, and, PNB Rupay Select Card.

Pay with axis iocl . ( Gives bundle reward for every transaction)
Then redeem it using previlgae card ( reward rate is low .
Induslnd & pnb rate no idea but
Regardless of Merchant u will get base reward .

Untill QR is of say Gov Electricity board & Same Payment u can do via Website via card number & it comes under utility as ulity mcc ..then it won't work

But your society Current account Have say hdfc Or icici or phone pe .qr ..

You will get base reward ..

Max is Tata neu .(500/pm)
Followed by myntra kotak ( unlimited 1.25 - instant cashback in statement ✌️) hidden gem 😅

U have axis iocl - reward u will get ( late but u will )
Pnb ( never owned - no idea but u will get )
Induslnd ( use it u should get . I don't see a problem .. )
