It is now showing my new Account type - i.e. Savings max (old one Regular) in the records of HDFC... All done within 12 hours...

BTW.. Account type Change works only for Upgrade ( not for downgrade...)

Regular -> Savings Max -> Special Gold -> Special Plat ✅✅

Special Plat -> Special Gold ->Savings Max -> Regular ❌❌

Hdfc ask me to send document to Chennai office 🙃

Don't send documents yourself to Chennai.
go to your branch and they will do it for you.
I got my name corrected on credit card couple of months back via this.

Hey guys anyone have any idea if someone is using platinum account and enrols in classic banking then what happens? Can they maintain 1 lakh and still don't get charged for NMC?

Just asking because it triggered in my mind i already have preferred family banking so i don't need to do this.

My tiny brain says, HNI program overrides account type restrctions, hence, yes to your question.. There wont be any NMC if you are under HNI program...

You'll have to order a new one if you want either from the Branch or via App/Net Banking, only then a new one will be issued.
