Too many calls by hdfc credit cards section

Hi All

I was getting too many calls from HDFC cc agents , when I asked how they got my number they said bank gave

I got irritated with the calls as they were speaking in hindi inspite of asking them to speak in English. So I took call n cut the call immediately and blocked the number

Same person again tried to call from different numbers and then I took and scolded her

She said the reason as since I did not answer call she kept on calling. Daily 4 to 5 times

I said I don't know Hindi in Hindi and said speak in English or in my known languages

She cut the call and never called back

Why at first bank should share data of a person who already has a cc

I also have dnd enabled but still got calls as it was from personal number.

Download trai app. Report the numbers. Keep doing it after 10 to 15 days the frequency of these mofos decreases.
Meanwhile email chaddifasi bank for unsolicited commercials

In my case not only hdfc the icici and axis also joined they hit me like anything
On some days since my number is connected in demat the market tipsters also add fuel to fire

I used to receive ICICI as well but now now. Now days mainly hdfc and idfc has started recently

I pay 529 yearly to Truecaller for these banks. ICICI, HDFC,Paisabazar made my life hell by calling morning, evening, night .
Then I decided to go Truecaller premium, I blocked the total series of their promotional number.

In addition, I have disabled 90% of the app's notification. I receive Only 1-2 notification everyday now, zero junk/spam calls. I have also unsubscribed from promotional emails as much as possible except Yono SBI (they just don't stop spamming).
Now, I am living happily. In this digital era mental peace is very important

Reply from greivience team was to share the numbers for them to look in further. I lost track of numbers due to many calls by idfc ICICI and HDFC

Give number of local police station to them and tell them he is my friend and needs a credit card. Call them. 🤣

If you know about mobile number of anyone in local police station then give that. Never tell spam callers your name or confirm if you are the same person.

Today RBL person had called. I picked n did not answer then cut after some time.

She Again called immediately and told my name. COrrectly n asked if I need RBL credit card

I asked her who gave my number she cut call saying thank you

I called her number immediately and she blocked my number

Planning to pose as agent going forward when people call. Ask them if they want same card

You can can do almost whatever you want to, except for the above..

If you report their number, they may report your number as spam and the telecom provider will deactivate your number immediately..and the onus is on you to prove that you are not spam..
This was what I read somewhere in the forum a few days back..and it was a lot of trouble

The thing you can do safely is Block. 🚫

I have truecaller and it identifies as spam , as soon as it stops ringing, i hit block button..this way I cut down 95% of spam calls..

Nowadays the OS itself is capable of identifying spam calls. On iPhone it straightaway says spam below the number

nhi mudda ye bhi hai. official email id per spam kam aate hain, na k barabar. shayad filter hote honge. Call se jyada problem hai. Daily atleast 10 no. report karta hu dnd per. Jane kya hi hota hai.

We are getting so many calls despite people marking as spam so how is that our number alone will be blocked when they report is spam?

It won’t happen to everyone all the time.. if that spam guy got agitated and decides to report us as spam then there is a possibility.. I never thought it would happen.. but as I said I read this story in some thread here
