Hi everyone,
I own 25+ credit cards almost from all major banks and all credit goes to this community. Forever grateful to you all for helping me plan my expenses.
I have recently enrolled for Kalyan jewellers’ monthly scheme and i need to pay 2L every month for next 6 months. Please advise which credit cards to use for these big expenses.
Important cards that i presently own are Amex platinum travel, Axis Atlas, ICICI Sapphiro, Tata Neu Infinity, SBI Cashback, HDFC Millenia etc.
I have already exhausted 4L milestones for my Amex card so don’t wish to use that.
Atlas has excluded gold from its rewards and milestones so not of much use in this case.
I have requested for Millennia upgrade to Regalia Gold (basis my income eligibility). I planned to do all these 12L (2L* 6 months) expenses on Regalia Gold to be eligible for DCB or Infinia upgrade in future. But it seems Millenia to Regalia gold will take some time and even i am not sure since i just meet their income criteria and the fact that my previous upgrade requests to RM were not fruitful coz of <3L credit limit and <3L card expenses in last 6 months.
Please suggest what all options shall i use to make these hefty payments. Also, would appreciate if someone could answer following queries as well.
1. Has anyone tried monthly scheme payments through Kalyan vouchers?
2. Since Amex is not accepting new applications, will it be wise decision for me to upgrade my plat travel to some other Amex variant to earn good points or milestone benefits? I presently have around 60k MR points in my Amex plat travel.
3. I am ready to apply for any other credit card, if i can generate enough reward points for gold purchases.
