Shocking Decrease in SBI's credit Limit!!

Hey folks, do yourself a favor and take a peek at your credit limit in SBI cards. You might be in for a rude awakening, like I was. They slashed my limit to such a low amount, I can barely afford a bag of peanuts. Literally. 🥜😂

I transferred limit from BPCL to CB last year. Just checked, the limits of both cards are still unchanged.
More in this context, I applied for CL increase for BPCL card earlier this month and escalated the matter till highest level as receiving only robotic reply without any resolution. Got a call from their executive yesterday, she informed that CLI process is paused for ALL for the time being and requested me to wait 2-3 weeks till it resumes.

I had transferred my BPCL limit to CB too. Now CB Limit has been reduced from 2.6L to 0.9L. My credit utilization was good in CB, I had bills ranging b/w 30-50k since I took the card.

My limit in BPCL is 22k, Slightly disappointed that they have reduced the limit as I won't be able to make any big purchases using SBI now

I have 3 cards with aggregate limit of 7.1 lakh it’s reduced to 2.64 lakh.

1. SBI Elite; hardly used. 1 lakh limit reduced to 88k.
2. SBI BPCL Octane; Used for fuel, offers & EMI. 2 lakh limit reduced to 88k.
3. SBI Cashback; most used. 4.1 lakh limit reduced to 88k.

All my SBIC cards have 88k limit each now.
Can’t understand the logic. CL of card used most is reduced the most, and CL of card used least is reduced the least.

Anyways I use different Credit Card for different type of transactions.
I have SBI, ICICI (2), HDFC, AXIS, SC (2) and Amex card.

SBI is reducing CL on Cashbak Card to stop misuse or control on overall Cashback

The interesting thing is they are offering me to take loan within credit limit and recently loan of 2 lakhs above my credit limit also. But not giving me any CL. They want interst on my PL but not 50 day free credit to me..

Yes. I got CB card with 10k limit. I transferred 4lakh from Elite.
