School Fees through Magnus Burgundy

Hi,

I understand that Magnus Burgundy does not give reward points for Utilities (MCC 4814, 4816, 4899, 4900) and Government Institutions (MCC 9222, 9311, 9399, 9402). But it appears that payment of school fees will generate reward points. am i correct?

Wrong! education also doesn't get points on old Magnus and Magnus Burgundy

I get points every month for school fees payment done directly on school's app.

I haven't tried it personally but you can try a small amount and see if you get any points.
just do a token rupees 200 and check if you get 12 points after 3 working days

Would this not depend largely on what they STATE or QUALIFY themselves as on the FIN TECH infrastructure? i.e. CATEGORIES.

How would AXIS/ Magnus know if the merchant does not state or specify as an EXEMPTED category?

A merchant category code, or MCC, is a four-digit number that indicates your line of business and the types of goods or services you provide to your customers. MCCs are assigned to merchants by credit card issuers. Therefore Axis should know which MCC they are dealing with. Either Merchant is too smart or AXIS is too dumb. 🙂
