I am facing a problem. I had niyo sbm and vested direct account. vested direct i never used, so I mailed vested with required docs and I got confirmation from Vested that a/c was closed. The account was even not showing up in UPI or netbanking.

Since yesterday the ghost of that account appeared in netbanking and UPI. I fail to understand how can an account which was closed successfully reappear. IT system of SBM is worst.

SBM is now having few branches across India. But when I looked up for IFSC codes, only 2-3 codes of mumbai is showing up. Maybe those who opened account through branch of different cities were also assigned IFSC of Mumbai. But is that allowed by RBI?

They said if you opened account online you will assigned to Mumbai branch..

that's fine for online and same is practised by several banks. but I am surprised with the fact that there are no separate IFSC codes from branches of hyderabad, chennai, kolkata etc. How could they open branch and not get IFSC from RBI. No wonder why they are under RBI's wrath.

How many days it takes to get the card?

Got cheque book yesterday and must say it looks premium. Best looking cheque book I ever saw.

Cheque and debit card should be sent together, it saves bank's cost and convenient for customers as well.

this is due to safety reasons
not sure why but that is what i have heard
