Things to Note here:

1) SBM Bank doesn't allow 2 bank accounts at the same time. If you've Niyo Global or any other neo-bank account with them, they'll reject your savings application.

2) They have the highest payment failure rate I've tried as of now amongst all banks.

So don't fall in trap of these SBM Bank offerings. I had given even cheque of 5L to open account with them but changed my mind and stopped the agent from opening my account.

I do have Niyo Global, they did not reject my application.

They rejected mine on November and quoted the same reason. Don't know how this bank works. However the agent then visited my house to take docs n cheque and said I'll open manually.

Strange, I live in non SBM serviceable area, maybe that's why it did not happen for me.

The SBM Wealth Account I heard was with No Minimum Balance if we did an initial funding of 5 lacs. Is this the same account or a new variant ?

Few of the SBM account users were mentioning the card limit controls cannot be done by the App and need to be done in SBM ATM is it true?

Is the ecommerce transactions already enabled on your debit card ?

I tried connecting with the customer care.
They mentioned that it's a wealth account that would need 5L as initial deposit amount.
And also said that the partnered banks (like niyo global) is actually the zero balance accounts.

I was also informed the same thing from the SBM Customer care today . @lazyman How did u verify the account is zero balance with no AQB requirement in case you did not have any Initial funding done ?

I called their customer care, they told me no annual fees for debit card, I did not do any initial funding. Looks like their customer care is not proper.

It is SBM wealth account as per Welcome letter which I got with the card, previously card usage controls might not be present in their net banking or mobile banking, I can confirm that I can see card usage controls and I have tested ecom transaction Al's well, I can enable and disable from sbm mobile banking app and even sbm internet banking app, both have option for it.

I think, this initial funding is not mandatory, I have verified their schedule of charges in their website, and it didn't highlight about debit card fees or any charges about AMB, their customer care also told me no annual charges for the card and no minimum balance account.
